Why do Authorities Test for Steroids?

It is a fact known by all that athletes are tested for anabolic steroids in all the sporting events, of course including the most referred and celebrated Olympic Games. But have we really thought why it is there? Why is the sporting community taking so much pain to find out that has bothered to buy steroids and consume them to look or perform their best? We’ll tell you why.

There are mainly two reasons for drug testing in any sporting event given by the sports federation, for why patrons of the Olympic Games are extra cautious that nothing escapes their eagle eye. First of all they believe in fairness. Not of the skin we presume but equality or fairness of opportunity. They want the athletes to succeed on their own and not with the help of performance enhancing drugs.

The second reason of course is to ensure that the athletes don’t put such substances in their bodies that will harm them. It is for the athletes’ own good that the authorities have banned these substances. They may not thank them now but hey definitely will when they see their drug taking peers suffering and are happy that they at least have escaped this fate.

Even relatively harmless  to buy steroids like deca durabolin are also banned. After all, it does enhance performance.
